  1. After looking around for an application which could convert simple
  2. interest into compound interest or "yield" and not finding anything
  3. suitable, I opted to design a program myself.

  5. To use the Compound Interest Calculator, merely enter the amount you
  6. are investing as well as the simple interest rate.  The application
  7. will give you the compounded rate based on 3 various methods of
  8. compounding as well as the dollar value of your investment at the end
  9. of one year.

  11. If you wish to modify this document, it can be "Unprotected" by
  12. hitting a (CR) when prompted for the "Protection Password."
  13.  
  14. The Calculator will be quite handy when deciding between various
  15. investments which promise different compounding schemes as well as
  16. different ways of viewing the interest paid.
